Our plants alone are sustainable because they are live, grown locally and reused over and over again. These beautiful plants are housed and maintained in our 11,000 square foot sustainable greenhouses. All Props and decorative plant containers are also reused.
Live plants help the air quality and seems to make people feel healthier and offers a sense of contentness.

Recycling Program includes office paper, cardboard, broken and unusable grower pots, plastic, aluminum and bottles. We offer paperless billing and order inquires to all clients. Participating clients can electronically send their orders to us via e-mail, and in turn we electronically send our billing invoices back for payment.

Convention Foliage Solutions' recycled watering system collects winter rain water run off and is stored in containers, then used for year round plant watering. We have installed a tankless water heater system, and we use a new state of the art Incinolet toilet, this waste disposal system uses no water, and does not flush waste into the ground, we poop and burn not flush. Offering sanitation without ground pollution and apnosphere polluting odors.

Occasionally we find decorative containers and small prop items at bargain sales we reclaim these containers for the purpose of restoration, then reuse these containers in our rental service.

The potting soil used by Convention Foliage is mixed with locally grown products here in the North West. Most plants we rent have been propagated right here in our greenhouses or locally grown. All plant matter that dies off, or is cut from our plants are placed outside in our composting area. We use Biodegradable and Environmentally Friendly products with low toxicity for pest invasion control and fertilizers.

Energy Efficiency Program: Plastic, programmable thermostats, timers, sensors, high efficiency heat/air and venting system. Tank less water heater, low efficient fluorescent lighting.

Construction of Convention Foliage:

All lumber used to construct our warehouse was purchased from a local citizen the lumber had been grown, timbered and milled on site in Molalla. We purchased recycled paint for painting the interior of our warehouse. We re-used old nylon canvas that was previously used in West Linn Paper Mills drying process. This canvas enabled us to use it as an underlayment material for our gravel drive way. We were able to use this same material as flooring in each greenhouse.

We set aside all extra and unused wood and metal materials that were left over from the original construction of the greenhouses and warehouse. We reused these materials again, to construct every plant table that currently houses our small potted plants these materials were also reused for the construction of our potting tables that are needed for transplanting.

The greenhouses are covered with a highly long lasting polycarbonate (Lexan) plastic this offers low UV value. We have incorporated two different shade clothes our 90% shade is placed only on the green house that is used to house our plants needing very little light, to allow high insulation from the sun. With this we are able to use less air conditioning in the summer.
